When we think about Men's Health, one of the
first areas that come to mind is Prostate Health. The reason?
More than half of all men, (actually closer to 60%), between
the ages of 40 and 59 have an enlarged prostate gland.
This condition is known as benign prostatic hyperplasia
or BPH for short. Symptoms include: progressive urinary urgency,
frequency and awakening during the night to empty the bladder
-- sometimes as often as three or four times a night. Also
observed is a reduced force of urinary flow, intermittence
and hesitancy of flow. The condition, if left untreated, can
eventually obstruct the bladder outlet and result in retention
of blood in the urine. |
